29th ANNUAL BLOODY LAKE RENDEZVOUS
HOSTED BY YELLOWSTONE FLINT & CAP CLUB, INC.
For Buckskinners--April 27th THRU MAY 2nd, 2010
THE FOLLOWING ARE THE RULES FOR THIS YEAR’S RENDEZVOUS. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES, WE WILL SEE YOU AT SOME OTHER CAMP.
Entrance to camp by participants for unloading is 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. As in years past, we have use of this entire 159-acre county park. We do not ask for pre-registration, nor do we reserve campsites. No prepaying for others. Campsites are on a 'First Come, First Served' basis only. If you are unable to arrive during these times, please plan for other arrangements. If you decide to set up your camp & come back to stay after Friday night, please remember--you may not bring your vehicle into camp. There are carts available to carry gear & supplies in & out if needed. Please return carts to the cabin when done.
Upon arrival you will have one (1) hour unloading time--then your vehicle must be removed from camp. For everyone’s safety--do not camp in marked fire lanes. You must have your registration ribbon for re-entry onto grounds or you will be required to pay an admission fee again. For everyone’s safety, unauthorized vehicles will not be allowed into camp from Friday 9 p.m. until Sunday 3 p.m. After initial set-up, please step back & look at your campsite as if you were a visitor. All modern conveniences must be hidden from view at all times. The Booshway and/or Dog Soldiers will make final decisions. Keep your campsite clean & safe by having a properly-dug fire pit and water within reach. Primitive clothing is required in camp at all times by participants during rendezvous. No tennis shoes, blue jeans or hiking boots will be allowed.
No walking of dogs in camp - NO EXCEPTIONS! Dogs are to stay at your campsite with a maximum 8-foot leash tethered to your lodge. CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET & YOU WILL NOT HAVE TO STEP IN DROPPINGS & NEITHER WILL ANYONE ELSE! THANK YOU. Again, there will be an area for a HORSE CAMP. Primitive gear is required. There is an area outside of main camp where you can ride your horse.
Registration fees: $15.00 per lodge & $10.00 per person, ages 16 & older. Part of this fee goes to help with the upkeep & improvements for the Lafayette County Park.
Commercial Trader’s fees: $35.00. If you camp in a separate lodge/tin tipi (Tee Pee) from your trader tent, you must also pay $15.00 camp fee for that lodge.
TRADERS:No goods to be displayed in plastic. Period items only; no Flea Market items will be allowed. FOOD VENDERS: If you provide an appropriate trash recepticle, people will use it. Thank You.
We provide a supply of slab wood that can be cut at the woodpile with your primitive saw. Carts are available to transport firewood to your camp. If you have wood left on Sunday, please return it to the woodpile. Due to Wisconsin DNR restrictions, you can no longer bring in your own firewood unless it is cut from land located less than 50 miles from the park.
There will be a dumpster available for disposing of garbage. PLEASE RECYCLE!
The outdoor oven will be available for use. We encourage you to try it.
Visitors will be allowed into camp from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday & from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. The camp is closed to non-participants on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. If you would like a guest to stay, please make sure they have paid the $10.00 admission fee & are properly attired.
School Day: Friday, April 30th, we will be hosting 6th graders from several area schools from 10:00 a.m. through 2:00 p.m. If you would like to participate with a 15 minute "Show & Tell" presentation, please notify the gate when you register or sign up at the cabin.
RENDEZVOUS HEADQUARTERS at The Cabin: Workshops, demonstrations & activities will be posted at the cabin. First Aid supplies, lost & found, etc.,--just about anything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask can be sought out at the cabin.
Workshops & all activities that are planned will be posted at THE CABIN.
